Supported platforms

Telem can search or fetch thirty-seven platforms. You get posts, videos, articles, channels, profiles, places, reviews, products, apps and ads.

• Twenty-seven platforms take both search and fetch.
• Yelp, Booking.com, Glassdoor, VK, Snapchat and the App Store take fetch only.
• Quora takes search only.
• Search on Twitch, G2 and Facebook is not available yet. These three take fetch only for now.

Pin a platform

On search, every provider on this page is pinnable only. Auto-routing and the default provider set never choose it, so you name it yourself. Search takes the id in search.providers.include:

On fetch, you often do not need to pin. Video and post links on many of these platforms, such as YouTube videos, TikTok videos and Reddit posts, go to the platform’s provider first, and then to the general providers. To use one provider only, pin it in options.providers:

A pinned fetch provider accepts only the link forms in the table below. It declines any other link before it calls the platform. If no pinned provider accepts a link, the fetch returns a 400. An unknown provider id also returns a 400. Where a platform has more than one provider, Telem calls only the ones you name. A fetch tries the providers you name in order and stops at the first that answers. A search runs every provider you name.

What a result includes

Set tier to max to get every field below. Lower tiers leave some out. See the tier tables for search and fetch.

A search result has the post’s or listing’s link as url and its text, caption or description as summary. title holds the post title, or the text’s first line for providers that build one. Posts on Weibo, Douyin, Kuaishou, Instagram and X can come back without a title. Most results also have publish_date and a thumbnail. The author is in source.author. Counts and platform facts are under enrichments: likes and views, or a place’s address, rating and opening hours.

A fetch returns a markdown document. It holds the title, a byline and the text. Review platforms add up to 20 recent reviews. The response also fills title, author, publish_date and images where the platform has them. Platform facts are under metadata, and the full record is under structured.

On search and fetch alike, field values come back as the provider serves them.

Billing

Each provider bills its own meter, by the unit below. A call that returns nothing is not billed. Examples are a search with no results, a link that is declined, or a post that does not exist. Your account at app.telem.ai shows the prices and the billing record for each call.

A search on a fetchlayer_<site> provider reads one page. Ask for more with provider_overrides ("pages", up to 5).

tikhub_telegram search takes channel to search inside one channel. The value is the channel’s username without the @, for example {"tikhub_telegram": {"channel": "durov"}}.

Unlike other search providers, each provider on this page accepts only a few overrides, often none. Any other override returns a 400. See Provider overrides.
